That's cool! I had one of those annoying OBE's at 3am when everything is pitch black, except for the shadows that take lives of their own... who was that tall shadow in the top hat?
The use of words coming forward echo the idea of a scream, and the figure in the background is both shrouded and revealed by the tear shape around her. Very sad and very creative!
A clear loud whisper of a soul that needs a safe place to reveal itself, I don't know, is there enough dark in the night for that? Your illustration is a cry and a question and very very unique. Beautiful imaginative work!
When I was young(ouch) we used to say, "heavy, man, heavy". First the artwork is wonderful. The shadows and curves, the lighting of colors. The the words, hope not your own feelings, then the tortured soul. So moving and powerful.
Somebody needs a hug... and some kind of night light.
