Very cool! The tongue looks like it's sticking out of the landscape which is painted on a wall on the other side of that door-- not sure why I see it that way, but I love the effect.
Nice concept and very bright colors; you could even make the carpeting the same color as the sand. With the painting like this there's no need to hold back; it's bold and crazy, love it.
Sort of a take on the Rolling Stones, that they are open but with cobwebs, haha! I know I am seeing this a bit too literally, :P Cool and unique! It should be a stones cd cover!
The first thing I saw was a big red turtle on the horizon, and then a big red turtle with a big red mouth and tongue, now I'm leaning towards just the big mouth and tongue theory.
So there are two hungry creatures waiting-wide open for the other.
Spooky and I love the amazing colors. Very cool piece Michael!
very conceptual! had to put a little Mick in there... thanks for your comments on my street painting, it was a lot of hard work but ultimately worth it... that is until the cars started driving over it and then it rained... he he he he
There's that ubiqitous mouth again - scary! The door has been open for some time though, looking at that cobweb - I'm looking for a Freudian reading on this...
The colours are beautifully chosen and placed - excellent composition!
Love the colors and the open door, but the first thing I wondered...is that a tongue in the background, like when the doctor says 'say ah'?

ReplyDeleteI hadn't been around the corner for a while. All of these last entries make me smile.
ReplyDeleteHehehe... it reminds me one surrealistic part of my favorite book by Ernesto Sabato: "Of Heroes and Graves" :)

ReplyDeleteOh boy, what a way to start off the morning. Cool! I think I see one thing, then I see another...
ReplyDeleteThis is very intriging. That door's been open a long time with the spiderweb there.
