IF: i spy sakura (cherry blossoms)
Sakura weeping
petals floating to the ground
soft breeze sighs
In Japan it is now Hanami Season. Time to view the cherry blossoms, eat, drink, sing and compose haiku.
You ain't lived till you've done a hanami party right, so they say. I had mine last night.

ReplyDeleteSplendid and serene.I love this piece! I strolled the campus yesterday with a Japanese friend to view the cherry blossoms. They were incredible! She said she didn't like the drunken partying aspect of hanami, but each to their own ;-)
ReplyDeleteI really like the patterning and the flowers through the window...one of the first vector projects we ever did was to imitate a Japanese print and it made me really appreciate the work...so much so that I took an extra art history class on the subject...
